Allan Staib is currently the foreign partner and Chairman of the Board of Tianjin Power Source Food Company, Ltd., and the owner and General Manager of Tianjin Rui Si Business Planning Company. He was formerly the Chairman and foreign partner of Tianjin Lone Star Petrochemical Company. All three businesses are located in, and operate within Mainland China.

Prior to leaving in 2003 to pursue his own investment opportunities in China, Allan was with Kraft Foods for 35 years, the last 10 of which were in international assignments. His Kraft career included several US locations as well as assignments in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Allan has directly managed organizations in 13 different countries, and indirectly managed or worked with Kraft organizations in 17 additional countries so his international business experience is extensive. His educational background includes a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston, and an Executive MBA from the University of Alabama.

Allan has now accumulated 15 years of direct foreign investment experience in China. He and his wife lived in Tianjin, China (about 100 miles from Beijing) between 1994 and early 1999 helping to establish the Kraft Foods joint venture company there. He maintains resident status in China and spends about 3 months a year there helping his Chinese partners manage his two joint ventures. While reluctant to claim fluency, his Chinese language skills are sufficient for him to conduct all communications related to these businesses in Chinese.

When not in China, Allan is active in a number of China related organizations in Birmingham. These organizations are:

• Birmingham Chinese Festival Association - Past President (2007-2008) and current advisor
• US China Peoples Friendship Association - President
• Chinese American Business Association of Birmingham - Vice President
• Birmingham Chinese Association - Vice President

In addition to these formal roles, Allan frequently volunteers his time giving talks to university, business, and other groups on topics related to China and international career development.
